Syndication

Syndication is a means for web sites to provides their readers with a stream of constantly updated information. Virtually every major web site supports syndication of their content in one capacity or another.

RSS or Rich Site Summary is a popular standard for syndicating information that's used by web sites. Molly supports both the inclusion of RSS feeds into pages and the creation of RSS feeds from database tables.

RSS Inclusion (rss)

The <rss /> tag, in Molly, provides you with a way to include an HTML representation of an RSS feed inside of your site. The tag also supports feed caching and custom templating, to allow you to create a view that best supports your application.

RSS Publication (syndicate)

The <syndicate /> tag, in Molly, provides you with a way to publish database content in the form of a RSS feed. Specifically, this tag creates a link to an RSS feed, which you can include in any of your pages.
